  1. The model from the tag

    On a panelled unit the tag is inside the cabinet: in the middle drawer of a Designer column, to the left of the upper drawer on tall, drawer and 700 Series units. It tells us which door and hinge we are dealing with.

    Where it catches, whether it still closes cleanly, and where frost or water shows. A door fault is the first thing we rule in or out.

  3. A reading and a timeline
