Fogging on a PRO Glass Door

Which face of the glass

• The room side. Mist on the outer face forms where warm, damp kitchen air meets cold glass. Sub-Zero allows some sweating of this kind, above all in homes without air conditioning, and draws the line at dripping.
• The cabinet side. Mist on the inner face means moist air has reached the inside. After a door has stood open, Sub-Zero treats that as normal, and it should clear once the door stays shut.
• Neither face. A haze no cloth moves from either side is not surface condensation, and we look at the glass door assembly itself.

What we rule out, in order

Sub-Zero’s sequence for sweating is short: temperatures set correctly, condenser clean, then service if the moisture continues or drips. We start there, reading the set points against the 38°F and 0°F presets and inspecting the condenser behind the grille.

Then the door. A gasket corner that has lost its grip lets room air in all day, and the paper strip finds that run. A door settled on its hinges does the same from a different cause, so the door line is measured before a gasket is ordered.

Knowing which glass it is

A G in the model number marks a glass door, as in PRO3650G or PRO4850G, and the model key also lists an A or HAG code for a high-altitude glass door. Any part we order matches the tag.
